Jacob Malewski

Chiswick Born & Bred, with a hearty dose of Polish heritage, Jacob’s earliest memory is not wanting to leave his Mum at the nursery gates - until the teacher sat him in front of an easel & paints - then he didn’t even say goodbye ;)

In primary school he excelled at science - for his expert anatomical drawing of the human ear ;), becoming the envy of his little peers after being bestowed with the coveted ‘Headteacher’s Award’.

Winning a local art competition at ‘The Old Cinema’ Chiswick, encouraged Jacob to turn his passion into a career, after attending Richmond College, then Bath Spa University, studying for a BA in Illustration.

Some of Jacob’s work can be seen in Big Jim’s Trims barber shop on Chiswick High Road, where he was commissioned to do intricate stencil designs for their funky interiors.

He has a keen interest in art-nouveau, popular culture & design, analogue & experimental photography, and sci-fi/fantasy novels. Above all things Jacob is a self-confessed, bona fide comic-book geek  - and proud.
